Fun with the "Marbachegg carts"

The panoramic gondola lift takes you from Marbach to the car-free Marbachegg in just 10 minutes. On the ‘sun terrace between Bern and Lucerne’, at just under 1500 metres above sea level, a magnificent view of the mountains awaits you. You will be spoilt with a menu of your choice at the Marbachegg mountain inn.

After lunch, fun and adventure are guaranteed on the MarbacheggCarts! The three- or four-wheeled carts take you on a wooden track across the alpine meadows of the Marbachegg. The rapid descent demands your full concentration. You can then enjoy the panorama on the return journey with the drag lift, which takes you safely and comfortably back to the mountain station. If you want to stay active for longer, take a hike back to the village of Marbach. You can also end the excursion in comfort on the sun terrace with an ‘Entlebuch coffee’ and then take the gondola lift back down to the valley.

The innovative mountain cheese dairy in the village of Marbach invites you into the centre of the action. From the visitors' gallery, you can experience the activities in the production and storage rooms live. You can find out how milk is turned into cheese, where Switzerland's first buffalo mozzarella comes from and much more. You can also buy the tested cheese and regional products in the shop. The cheese dairy is a 10-minute walk from the valley station.
