Advent trip to Aosta
Christmas magic in the Alps: enjoy festive markets in Aosta and Montreux and relax in the 4-star "Hostellerie du Cheval Blanc" hotel.
Day 1: Arrival and Christmas market in Aosta
Our journey towards Aosta starts early in the morning. We take a break in Gruyères to enjoy a cup of coffee in the picturesque surroundings of this car-free, medieval village. We reach Aosta around midday. Here we check into our rooms in the city hotel Hostellerie du Cheval Blanc. In the afternoon, we visit the enchanting Christmas market and are enchanted by the festively decorated stalls and Christmassy atmosphere. Dinner will be served at the hotel.
Day 2: Raclette fun and Christmas market in Montreux
A good start to the day includes breakfast from the sumptuous buffet. Afterwards, use the time to explore the historic old town of Aosta and discover the charming alleyways. We then travel through the Great St. Bernard Tunnel to Martigny. At the home of skiing legend Roland Colombin, we enjoy a raclette prepared in the traditional way. Well fortified, we continue our journey to Montreux and visit the atmospheric Christmas market and the festive atmosphere on Lake Geneva. Return to the Olten region at around 20.00 hrs
