Brienzerrothorn cable car and steam railway

Itinerary

Travel via Dagmersellen - Wolhusen - Schüpfheim to Sörenberg. From here, take the aerial cableway up to Lucerne's highest mountain, the Brienzer Rothorn. During the journey you can often see ibex or mountain goats, just ask the railway driver, they usually know where the animals are hiding. The view from the Rothorn is magnificent. In addition to Pilatus, Titlis, Rigi, Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, you can ideally see 687 other peaks. It's an easy 10-minute walk from the railway station to the summit. Back from the summit, we serve you a typical Lucerne menu in the summit restaurant. The nostalgic steam railway takes you back to Brienz, a unique experience. Return journey by bus via Brünig - Lucerne back to the boarding points.
