The most famous market is the "Città dei Balocchi" market in Como, in Piazza Cavour. "Citta dei Balocchi" loosely translates as "city of toys" or "toy town". The cute little wooden houses also offer local specialities and Italian arts and crafts, all at reasonable prices. Right next to Piazza Cavour, you can test your athletic skills on an artificial ice rink. The Christmas market in Como is definitely worth a visit.
