Christmas shopping in Milan

Milan is undoubtedly a shopping paradise, especially in the run-up to Christmas. The unique charm of the city puts you in the right mood to do your first Christmas shopping. Be this in the shopping streets, the shopping malls or in a designer boutique. The big names, such as Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Armani, Emporio etc., have outlets in Milan where you can find the one or other "bargain".

Day 1: Arrival

Drive to Milan, depending on the traffic situation, arrival around midday at the centrally located **** Leonardo Hotel Milano City Center (check-in from 15:00, luggage can be dropped off in advance). The hotel is located in China Town and is a 5-minute walk from the Monumentale underground station or 300 metres from the tram station. In 15 minutes you can travel directly to the Duomo and probably the most beautiful shopping arcade in the world, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Enjoy the shopping pleasure in Milan and in the evening a plate of pasta in the old harbour is a must.

Day 2: Return journey

Today you have the opportunity to visit the Christmas market in Piazza del Duomo or the Village of Wonders with its ice skating rink, festive show programme and food stalls in the Indro Montanelli Gardens. Or get to know Milan on a city tour with a hop-on hop-off bus. Visit a museum, the cathedral or stroll through the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Return to Switzerland at 17.15 hrs.
