The little Niederdorf opera returns to the stage of the Bernhard Theatre. However, there is some melancholy involved - because it is the farewell production.
Die kleine Niederdorfoper is a portrait of the 50s, which has long since become cult with its picturesque snapshots, sparkling humour and catchy tunes.
The story takes place in the world of prostitutes, small-time crooks and bourgeois burghers. And they all meet in the "Lämmli" - an establishment with charm and heart - by chance or on purpose, full of desire or curiosity, for lack of money or to raise money, out of lust or frustration.
This is how we meet the little farmer Heiri (ERICH VOCK), who sells his calf and wants to celebrate his temporary wealth in the big city. Or the naive Ruthli, who is about to get married and suddenly meets his seducer, the chansonnier André (PHILIPPE ROUSSEL), again. Or the waitress's daughter Irma (MAJA BRUNNER), who has a big heart and is the soul of the "Lämmli". Or the vaudeville singer Olly Moreen (VIOLA TAMI), who is not so exotic.
You can look forward to the absolute highlight in the history of Swiss dialect theatre, which will delight audiences with its outstanding ensemble and top-class orchestra.
