Itinerary

Experience the magical atmosphere of the Christmas markets in the Ravenna Gorge and Colmar, where twinkling lights and the scent of mulled wine will transport you into a world of festivity. The overnight stay is in Colmar, the heart of Alsace.

Day 1
On the first day, we spend the morning in Freiburg, a charming city with historical flair and a lively old town. At 3.30 pm, we continue to the Ravenna Gorge, where you can experience the enchanting Christmas market. With its cosy atmosphere, spicy aromas and Christmas music, this market is a very special experience. There are traditional crafts to discover and a varied range of food and drink to suit every taste. Steep, wooded hills of the Ravenna gorge in Breitnau, the Galgenbühl at Hofgut Sternen and the 40 metre high railway viaduct of the Höllental railway frame this market. At 19:00 we continue to Colmar, where we check into the Hotel Turenne.

Day 2
After breakfast, you have the whole day in Colmar at your leisure. This Christmas market also has a lot to offer. Traditional half-timbered houses, lovely decorations and unusual buildings form the backdrop for the market. As you stroll from hut to hut through the individual Christmas markets in Colmar, the magic of the festive atmosphere spreads. At 16.00 we start our journey home to Switzerland.
