Mamma Mia - in theatre 11

The sunniest musical in the world MAMMA MIA! celebrates its return to the Swiss stage. From 16 October to 3 November 2024, the successful production will return to Theater 11 Zurich in the original English-language version.

The captivating and emotional musical tells the story of a mother, a daughter and three possible fathers with the timeless hits of ABBA. 22 of the most legendary ABBA songs such as "Dancing Queen", "Take A Chance On Me" and, of course, the title track "Mamma Mia" take you to the small Greek island.

Before her wedding, 20-year-old Sophie finally wants to find out the identity of her father. Her mother Donna's diary contains references to three lovers who return to the same place after 21 years at her daughter's invitation. The past becomes the present and the confusion knows no bounds.

50 years after ABBA was founded, their fame and popularity remain unbroken. With over 380 million records sold, they are one of the most successful bands in music history. Since its premiere in London in 1999, the musical MAMMA MIA! has thrilled more than 65 million visitors in 50 productions in 16 different languages.
