Ticino - Bosco Gurin
Visit to the highest village in the canton of Ticino (1,504 metres above sea level)
Itinerary
We start our journey early towards the sunny Ticino. After the Gotthard, we stop for a coffee break at the cheese dairy restaurant in Airolo. The journey continues via Bellinzona - Locarno into the Maggia Valley. Bosco Gurin lies at 1,504 metres above sea level, making it the highest village in the canton of Ticino. But this is not the reason why Bosco Gurin is famous - it is the only municipality in Ticino where German is spoken. After a typical Ticino lunch, there is still time for a walk through the narrow streets of the village. Return journey with a short stop (service area) to Zofingen / Olten / Aarau, arriving at around 8.30 pm.
